In the interest of promoting professional Midwife/Client and Midwife/Midwife relationships, the Indiana Midwives Association, hereafter referred to as IMA, has developed a system for resolving conflicts. We recognize that these conflicts present considerable difficulty for both the complainant and the midwife. Establishing and following a grievance procedure can help bring healthy resolution for both parties. The IMA Consumer Representative in your area will handle the initial steps of the procedure.
